Let's take a day off.

Sometimes do you feel so tired that you need a getaway from SINGAPORE, the place that you face everything single day. The shopping centres you walked Nth times , every turn and name a store you will know where it is. So my recent new travel place is to visit Johor Bahru aka JB in Malaysia. Used to visit it quite frequently since it is getting boring to stay in Singapore and I don't really to visit town. And you see,  people tend to prefer to visit places that they have lesser chance to go, since I don't stay there,  "absence makes the heart fonder", more "exciting" this way. Ohwell~

So we left with the usual by setting off like 8+ am to woodlands mrt station. We can choose to take either 903/911/912 to the bus-stop beside woodlands checkpoint. Went to Shengsiong to check money since it is convenient. Changed money and process to Singapore checkpoint. Always the long long walk to get to the checkpoint. Cross custom and went down to get onto the bus to proceed to Malaysia side custom. Since it was still quite early, the number of people queing for bus is still quite... ok. Normally I will just choose either SMRT or SBS bus. Queue and cross the highway between Singapore and JB. Bus was quite packed as usual.

Forever rushing down the bus like typical auntie, although i am not an "auntie" in physical age but yeah when it comes to rushing for stuff I shall admit i am indeed quite "auntie" , WELL... Queue was quite a little long for that day since malaysia did not openthe double counter line but well, still acceptable. (you have to go early to reduce the waiting time, the later you go, there will be more people. IF you dont like to wait, please go earlier) Finish clearing the customs, it's forever toilet break before we start setting off. Recent destination in JB is always KSL city mall since it's "newer" and not that far. It's very convenient to visit since there's bus from JB custom to KSL city mall, ticket cost 1.50RM. The bus terminal is located somewhere in the basement, walkway between City square and JB custom. If you see a lift there and the escalator opposite it, take the escalator down and there you are.

Normally I'lljust hop onto any bus that i see that brings me to KSL but my uncle was saying some of the bus will route to the housing estate, so if you take that bus it will turn a few rounds before bringing you to your destination.

Favourite food place is at Causeway bay (铜锣湾) since there are chinese food that my uncle can accept. Best thing there, there's free wifi!! Can connect tothe wifi to do some chatting though the last time i was there it wasnt connecting very well, so hope your luck is good :) Next recommendation will be to watch MOVIE there, so cheapppppppp. I like to buy phone casing there too, but requires some bargain to get it at a low price. Next shall be grocery shopping at TESCO which is my mum's favourite, i like to buy stationary there.

OH YESSSSSS! There's this very nice Taiwan dessert over at KSL. it's on the 4th floor. It's quite packed though and portion is big. I think it is available in Singapore too since i saw it on Instagram but if you're there, you can try it ! good try :)

After we're done with everything took the bus back to City square. Ate dinner and head back to Singapore. Tried 台湾小吃, i think it wasn't too bad. One of the new retaurants there.

TADA short getaway from Singapore, done.
Eat, shop, relax.
That's how Sunday is.
